Seven Passes Trip
The itinerary below is a suggestion only, but it includes all 7 passes.
Day 1
Ceres to Skurweberg 4x4 camp site via Theronsberg Pass, Marigold Heights
and Ouberg Pass along the Forgotten Highway.
Day 2
Stay at Skurweberg 4x4.
The options today are:
Two 4x4 Routes
4x4 drives with the owner of Skurweberg 4x4 at R50 per person
Horse riding
Trips to the town of Sutherland (42km away) in your vehicle
Trips to the South African Astronomical Observatory (Wednesdays,
Thursdays and Saturdays only).
Day 3
Move to the top of Gannaga Pass via the village of Middelpos (good place
to have lunch - but you must book beforehand - 027-3412507)
Camp next to the road on top of the pass or stay at the Gannaga Lodge.
Middelpos has petrol and diesel available and also a small hotel and
general dealer. Stocks are limited.
Day 4
Move to the Tankwa Karoo National Park. There are some facilities.

Day 5
Return to Ceres via Skitterykloof Pass, Katbakkies Pass and Gydo Pass.
